Construction of the new studio began in April 2000. Starting with 90 square feet of interior processing space, Bill Hady and Tracy Lea worked together to design the perfect structure for the processing of Zen Warrior® Berets.

People Who Helped Make It Possible

Thanks to Ed Mallory's generous support and Bill Hady's craftsmanship, we were able to complete the project for the 2000-2001 Season's production.

Windows and a door were donated by our friends at Dan Clare Graphics, who screenprint our labels. Mike Christner engraved the Zen Warrior® logo into the door glass.
This is the gentleman who has, for twelve years, brought us our propane gas to process the Zen Warrior Beret. He was very helpful in setting us up in the new studio. Gene Simonsen, Cenex Man

A Beautiful Place To Work: Using The New Studio

View from the office window
Located just outside the office window, the new studio is heated by solar energy and the heat from processing the wool Zen Warrior® Berets.
Most of the processing is done with rain water, collected from the roof and stored in the blue barrels you see in these pictures.
The studio is intended to simulate the design of a Zen Temple, after the Indo-Chinese style, with colorful ornamentation and a flower and vegetable garden in the back.

We're happy to be working in our new studio space
The interior of the work space is painted white, with snazzy red trim.
The white walls allow us to fully utilize the natural sunlight necessary for judging color.
The work areas are clean and tidy
